it’s fall, y’all

I can’t believe September’s almost over and it’s just now starting to feel like autumn. I think hands down fall’s my favorite season— the air is different, the leaves all change, and the fashion is spectacular. And the music that reminds me of this season? All Too Well by Taylor Swift, anyone?

Plus, I’m back in school and it’s all new and I’m actually doing academic things now that I’m in grad school for English instead of music. Don’t get me wrong, Berklee was haaaard but not the same kind of hard as doing something less artistic and more academic. And even then, I’m doing a creative writing program, so it’s pretty darn artistic.

There’s just something about fall. Plaid scarves, chunky knits, knee high boots, maple lattes and pumpkin bread. Maybe it’s because I’m still in school, but it seems to me like the year actually starts in September because the new school year always meant more than New Years. Hard to celebrate a new year when you’re still halfway through one of a different kind.

It’s still pretty warm here, so I haven’t gotten to pull out my sweaters yet, but I can’t wait :)
